Review for Shea Moisture Sheer Liquid Foundation:

Moisture Factor: The new Shea moisture liquid foundation is extremely moisturizing, which is perfect for us because we live in dry semi arid dessert climate here in Cali. The humidity levels can get extremely low leaving us with dry sensitive skin. For those who live in climates with normal humidity levels I do not know how the foundation will hold up, but we will try it out when we go back to visit the west coast or JA and update you guys on it.

Staying Power: Upon application the makeup will appear very shiny but then as you blend it in starts to become matte and blends seamlessly into the skin.  Be sure to follow the directions because it definitely alters the finish of the application.

It stayed full coverage for about 6 hours before we decided to wash it off. BIG thumbs up!

Shade and flashback:  I have to really applaud Shea moisture for the various shades because let me tell you when your multiracial and brown it is extremely difficult to find a foundation warm enough with the right undertones. The Tasman Tawny shade is so perfect! It is rich enough in brown overtones and strong yellow undertones without being too overwhelming; exactly what we needed. There is no flashback in pictures, which is wonderful because there is no SPF in it. The product translates very well without us worrying about it washing out the luminosity of the shade.

Transfers: One flaw or drawback is that the foundation can transfer to your clothes. I found that letting the foundation properly settle into the skin before using a setting powder is an absolute must to minimize that possibility.

Pressed Powder: Velvety soft upon application. Maintains a really pretty color and also helps to set foundation so it won’t budge. When used with a large fluffy brush it disburses just the right amount for a flawless finish.

Overall Rating: We give both the foundation and the pressed powder a 4 1/2/5 stars because the products really are amazing. They have allowed us to switch from using bobbi brown products which would cause irritation, redness, and breakouts after using even if we used it sparingly.
